My name is Danielle, originally from Scotland, I started my training at stage school from the early age of 3 years covering classical theatre studies and performing techniques. Contemporary Dance has been a large part of my training growing up, specialising in Cunningham, Graham and Release. I went on to graduate with a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance, enhanced studies in performing, researching and dance technique. I always loved being on stage, however, I quickly found my passion and place for teaching, choreographing and directing.
I have over 17 years experience being a Dance Artist, Educator, Community Dance Practitioner, Project Manager and Choreographer. For numerous years I worked as Dance Educator for the Theatre Royal and Kings Theatre within academic and community centres. Following on from this, I was contracted to the role of Artistic Facilitator for Youth Dance Projects in the community, teaching the importance of a strong work ethic in achieving success through the Creative Arts.
My key principle is to help students grow in confidence, have fun and express themselves through creativity! If your child wishes to become a professional dancer or attend the class for fun, I guarantee they will have a fabulous experience, make lifelong friends and experience new opportunities here at Dance HQ.
